Rod Chang

Rod Chang has over 20 years’ astrological experience. He studied at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London and has expanded his knowledge through home study and practice. He specialises in mundane astrology and favours a humanistic approach to astrology.

He has taught western astrology in Mandarin for over ten years and has authored seven astrology text books in Chinese. Rod was also the in-house astrologer on three seasons of a popular daytime TV show in Taiwan. Since 2015, Rod has spoken at several international conferences in Poland, the UK, and most recently the 2016 Australia FAA International Astrology conference.

Rod and Jupiter Lai co-founded the Academy of Astrology (AOA), opening in Taiwan and Hong Kong before expanding into China and Japan. Rod is also the founder of the newly launched Academy of Astrology UK, bringing the AOA to English speaking students of astrology.

Sue Merlyn Farebrother

Sue has been a professional astrologer, lecturer and tutor for more than 25 years in private practice in London, UK. She teaches at beginners and advanced astrology levels for the Faculty of Astrological Studies, where she trained, the London School of Astrology (LSA), and privately. Sue will be the lead tutor on the Academy of Astrology new online course.

She also teaches courses in the tarot and works as a tarot consultant, has trained in Psychosynthesis, and has recently completed a Life Coaching training with Wise Goose.

Sue gained a distinction for her Cultural Astronomy and Astrology MA dissertation in 2007, based then at Bath Spa University. Her beginners book, Astrology Decoded, was published in 2013 by Rider/Random House to critical acclaim. This book is the recommended course book for the Academy of Astrology’s first year.

Writing on astrological subjects is something Sue loves doing, and she has been active in contributing to the course material for the Academy of Astrology, as well as course material for other astrology schools. She is also currently writing her second astrology book, the follow up to Astrology Decoded.

Marcos Patchett

Marcos is a medical herbalist and medical and horary astrologer. He received several academic awards while studying herbal medicine, and gained the London School of Astrology’s Certificate in 2006, since when he has developed his knowledge of traditional astrology through reading, home study, and experience in practice. He is particularly interested in the practical application of astrology, specialising in medical and horary techniques, which he uses primarily as an adjunct in the treatment of private herbal medicine clients.

He is currently a clinic supervisor for Middlesex University’s herbal medicine BSc & MSc courses, and practices from Neal’s Yard remedies’ Therapy Rooms in Covent Garden. Marcos is currently conducting clinical research on the possible benefits of chocolate in sickle cell anaemia, while studying medieval & classical medical astrology, and writing his first book on the pharmaceutical history & usage of cacao.

Mandi Lockley

Mandi Lockley is a London based astrologer and author. She blogs and has been published in the Astrological Journal of the Astrological Association of Great Britain and Infinity Astrological Magazine, as well as on numerous websites.
In 2012 she authored the e-book Saturn in Scorpio: Your Guide Through the Dark to positive reviews and is also a published fiction author.

In 2010, Mandi was Saturn editor for the International Astrology Day Blog-A- Thon, a collaboration with American astrologers Donna Cunningham and CJ Wright. The project brought together 70 articles by over 50 astrologers on handling the challenges of the Saturn-Uranus- Pluto Cardinal T-Square. Mandi studied at the London School of Astrology and gained the school’s certificate in 2005.

She is committed to self-development and strives to live true to herself, in service to others and in harmony with the cycles of the universe – an approach she brings to her work with clients and students.
